The Players
We start the game with the AD&D 2e rule set. It's been at least 13 years between games and with an extensive library of 1e and 2e AD&D books we begin our adventures. However I start looking into Pathfinder, and although it's early days I like what I see...

Grimbald is a serious man of few words. He rarely speaks unless he has something to say and speaks even less to strangers. Grimbald is not a handsome man and cares little for personal grooming and social niceties. He is not overly clever but is no fool. Grimbald is an expert woodsman and survivalist, well learned in the ways of wild animals, and the benefits of herbology and plant lore. Grimbald can be rude and impolite but is a strong warrior and an honest and good person. Grimald lost his family to the Zhentarim, he seeks to end their growing influence in the Great Forest.

Rhyn “Kneehigh” has fought against the odds all her life. Born sickly and weak Rhyn wasn't expected to live and was abandoned in the woods to die. Luckily she was discovered by a group of kindhearted woodsmen who raised her as their own. Although small and physically weak Rhyn relies on her guile and wits to survive, preferring to hide from her opponents only to surprise them with a sneak attack. She is a competent woodsman and hunter and deadly with a bow. Rhyn is affable and makes friends easily, she is unconcerned about remarks regarding her height and often uses such remarks as leverage to gain information and make contacts. She searches for the true identity of her parents and despises the influence of evil throughout her homeland.

Derfred is a tough old coot who looks a lot older than she really is due to long term exposure from living in the wilderness alone for years. She often converses angrily with apparently invisible “nature spirits” in Elven at inappropriate moments. Born into a family of entertainers Derfred found herself socially outcast due to her clumsiness. Out of frustration she left her family only to become a hermet living in the wilderness. It wasn't long before she started hearing the voices. At first she thought herself mad but after she began to spontaneously manifest druidic powers Derfred realised they were something more. Wise and strong of body, Derfred is far more resourceful than she appears although she is an insufferable clutz and is often undone by her almost comedic clumsiness. The voices have compelled her to seek out other adventurers, for what reason she is not yet sure.
